What are visas, how long are they valid for and who needs to apply for them?
A visa is an authorisation to enter and stay in the territory of a foreign country for a specified period of time. A visa’s validity depends on the visa type and the purpose of the trip. International agreements between countries determine whether a foreign visitor must apply for a visa. The visa can only be used until the specified expiry date.

How can I get a visa?
To get your visa, simply apply online, or at the embassy or consulate of your destination country. Some countries allow you to buy a visa on arrival at the airport. However, the quickest and most convenient way is to apply for an e-visa online and you can do this using the panel at the top of this page.
This method enables you to pay for your e-visa application immediately by card or online payment. You will need the serial number of your travel document (usually your passport) to complete the form.
